I still think naming the exoplanets themselves is premature, especially since the majority of them are known so poorly and the ones of most interest seem to have a habit of disappearing amid claims and counterclaims. Gliese 581 and 667C I am looking at YOU.

Naming the host stars is an excellent idea.
