Hopefully this thread can be under this section.

I was wondering what you guys think of this idea. I emailed to NASA and guess they might or might not respond.

When traveling to Mars, space is an issue. So, why not send dwarf humans instead of the normal sized humans.
Any thoughts on this?

Due to their different size and structure, I would guess it's harder for them to keep in shape.

Space-related affects are still an issue (bone mass loss, radiation, etc).

I honestly don't see much of a benefit. I could be wrong though.

Yeah, total bone mass may be an issue. But then again, there has never been a dwarf human in space. So, no real results.

Of course dwarfs might argue that over-sized humans are the mutation and theirs is the normal stature. It's an interesting question. Does anyone know a dwarf to ask what they think?
