T-dwarf companions to exoplanet host stars? Empty

This one seems having passed unnoticed.

A Mid-Infrared Search for Substellar Companions of Nearby Planet-Host Stars

The most of the candidate companions seems like unbound sources or artifacts but three would be intriguing if confirmed, since late T-dwarf whose mass range lies within upper limit of planetary domain (25 MJup).

- 47 UMa B (or "47 UMa e") a = 300 AUs
- Gliese 581 B (or "Gliese 581 g" or just "e" not accounting e and f planet candidates) a = 150AUs
- HD160691/Mu Arae B (or "Mu Arae f") a = 300 AUs

"Gliese 581 B" seems to lay in planetary regime with a putative mass between 7 and 10 MJup.

Well considering that these aren't known to be actual members of these systems, giving them "B" designations seems a bit premature. Probably better to stick with the candidate numbers used in the paper: 47 UMa-1, HD 160691-8, GJ 86-1, GJ 581-3.

47 UMa-1 has a >3σ difference in proper motion so is unlikely to be bound.
