Chandrayaan-1 deployed a probe that successfuly impacted the lunar surface near Shackleton crater. Some rumors were around that the probe had survived the impact, but the Indian Space Agnecy confirmed that the probe had ceased transmitting.

So thats shackleton crater eh? ((the images))
I'm excited to see if they detected any water.
Of course if we ever do go crater we'd have to deal with a bunch of smaller ones made by our probes slamming into it. Hows about leavin us some smooth ground to land on!!!

From what I can tell, it's just the area around Shackleton. The Japanese probe in lunar orbit caught some nice images of the crater and, unfortunately, no water was detected.
