HD 6434 - A 20-day Saturn (and a Long Period Planet?)

HD 6434 b has been known for a long time (Mayor et al. 2003). Further RV monitoring has revealed a trend indicative of the presence of a long-period companion. There's also a transit non-detection reported here.

Preliminary astrometric measurements seem to infer a mass above substellar domain and a nearly face-on orbit. In case of stellar nature for HD 6434 b it would be interesting to confirm and ascertain the presence of additional companion that could even turn out a circumbinary (substellar?) object.

If it's the case where HD 6434 b is a stellar object, and the long-period companion is a substellar object, then there should be a significant mismatch between their orbit inclinations ... which might not be that big of an issue considering the separation of the outer component.

Indeed it would be interesting to investigate more about Rho CrB system which has been discarded too quickly. If former planet candidate "b" is actually a low-mass star additional trend may hint the presence of additional companions even in close orbits. When I had got Systemic Console working I and other users have detected additional planet(s)...
