Subject: Mass/Gravity Relation Question 17th June 2008, 7:44 pm
So does mass depend on the relativistic mass? Or the invariant mass?
Basically, does Mercury have more gravity when it approaches aphelion?

My question was answered by someone a few weeks ago. He said that energy itself bends spacetime, which makes sense, I suppose. So an object going at relatavistic speeds would indeed induce a greater warping of spacetime... --> More gravity.
