Habitable Climates: The Influence of Obliquity
Apparently for intermediate obliquities, the risk of snowball transitions decreases. For a high-obliquity planet, the poles become the warmest parts of the planet.

I both understood that and yet it puzzled me.

It would seem to me at least that a planet a 60 degrees would be the most habitable based upon figure 7 but........I must wonder about other kind of configurations.....what would happen if the land was nearer the equator? Or spread out over the planet like our planet is? Or spread out even more differently than our is? What about ones with less or more ocean then specified?

Nonetheless this is defintley interesting and goes to show just how much of a clearly defined zone the HZ is. It seems to depend on so many things.
