| From my notes, here are the planets not on the EPE. Oddities BOKS-1 is mentioned as confirmed in the discovery paper but not categorised as such on the EPE. Gliese 785 c listed as HD 192310 c in a separate system. HD 24496 b was mentioned in a paper "FIVE NEW GIANT EXOPLANETS FROM THE CALIFORNIA PLANET SURVEY" that I could only access from a cached copy of the paper mentioned here, but all links to that paper have been replaced by a new paper "The California Planet Survey I. Four New Giant Exoplanets" at the same link in Edasich's post. So I do not know if this planet is retracted. I tried to e-mail Howard (paper's lead author) but got no response. If anyone knows what's up with this planet, please let me know. KIC 10905746 b and KIC 6185331 b - EPE has them as confirmed planets but their discovery paper explicitly stated they were not confirmed. - Quote :
- We present the rst two planet candidates, discovered by Planet Hunters using Q1 data: KIC 10905746 and KIC 6315331 ... these two candidates are not conrmed planets.
EPE has KIC 12557548 b as a confirmed planet. I do not count it as one. Several KOI planets are shown to have transit timing variations from which they derive densities, as described in this paper. EPE does not list these planets. Did not the EPE have Lupus-TR-3 at one time? _________________ Caps Lock: Cruise control for 'Cool'!

Yes it did. Wonder why it has been dropped. Database glitch? _________________ The universe is not only stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine.

| Well BOKS-1b, Gliese 676Ab and Lupus-TR-3b are in the unconfirmed section at least. HAT-P-7 "c" is so far as I am aware just a linear RV trend so I'd say its omission is fairly reasonable at this point.
As for the rest, that's quite a lot of missing entries!

| I would add HD 203030 b which is planet-mass and a couple of WISE binaries whose secondary masse fall well within planetary domain (8 < m <20 Mj ).
I've tried sending an e-mail to report this, but no results.
Only EPE's bibliography is updated.

I guess this doesnt exist, an 1.12 Rj must be spotted by Keppler. If BOKS-1 b exist it already have a Kepler-XX name. _________________

| Not necessarily. There are a number of hot Jupiter KOIs that are awaiting confirmation. With limited follow-up resources, only interesting KOIs will be targeted for follow-up. Not knowing what KIC number corresponds to BOKS-1 makes it hard to make any statement about whether or not Kepler saw it. _________________ Caps Lock: Cruise control for 'Cool'!

From the paper: KID9595827 (BOKS-1), isn' t it? Planet "validated", not confirmed by RVs because star faintness

| Also KIC 10905746 b is KOI-1725.01 and KIC 6185331 b is KOI-1727.01.
I have some questions about planets listed as "controversial" in EPE but seems confirmed in the litterature.
•DQ Her(ab) c: 77.8% confirmed in the discovery paper •Z Cha(ab) c: seems confirmed and/but mass=20 Mj (81.6%) •Gliese 22 B b: seems confirmed… (and in a quadruple star system, very interesting) •HD 208487 c: seems confirmed •MOA-2010-BLG-073Lb: seems confirmed in the discovery paper and not challenged since
Why this 5 planets are listed as controversial?
•TYC 2627A b: poorly known parameters •Lupus-TR-3 b: poorly known parameters
What do you think about this two?

| I posted a link to the Lupus-TR-3b paper earlier in this thread. Do you have references for DQ Her (AB)c, Z Cha(AB)c, GJ 22 Bb? I don't have them in my notes. _________________ Caps Lock: Cruise control for 'Cool'!

| In your opinion, can I add DQ Her(ab) c, Z Cha(ab) c, Gliese 22 B b, HD 208487 c and MOA-2010-BLG-073Lb to my database? _________________ | |

| I would not include DQ Her (AB)b until it is determined which of the three mechanisms mentioned by Dai et al. are responsible for the observed O-C behaviour of the eclipses.
For Z Cha, they state that the confidence for a tertiary component orbiting the sytem is "> 81.6%." This is, in my opinion, not sufficient to consider it a confirmed planet candidate.
In the case of GJ 22 Bb, they present two orbital solutions, both of them have the edge of the planetary mass regime in their error margins, so you could probably argue that this could be a planet candidate (There are certainly less appealing candidates on the EPE anyhow).
I personally have chosen to include MOA-2010-BLG-073L b as a planet candidate in my notes.
I have HD 208487 c listed in my notes as unconfirmed. _________________ Caps Lock: Cruise control for 'Cool'!

| OK. For HD 208487 c, I read today that it may be stellar origin.
2 more planets un my data, 981 planets, the 1000 is very close.
I have some more planets that seems corfirmed but negleted by EPE and tothers catalogs, do you want to see them? _________________

Sure This conversation with you has encouraged me to compile some of my notes together in HTML format and post them online. It's rather rough, there are some things I need to do like unit normalisation, adding links to discovery papers, declaring which star is orbited, etc, but here's my list of exoplanets from my notes. I'll further develop this when I have time, it was just a quick throw-together. http://exoplanetmusings.wordpress.com/planet-list/Critique welcome by anyone. Note: Haven't yet added WASP-75b or OGLE-2012-BLG-0358Lb _________________ Caps Lock: Cruise control for 'Cool'!

Single- vs multi-planet systems. Sorry if that wasn't clear. I can remove that if necessary. _________________ Caps Lock: Cruise control for 'Cool'!

| Just say it. I have already a problem, I can't find any planet around 57 Virginis, wathever the name i'm using.
It's strange but CD-35 2722 b is on EPE but not in mine catalog.
DW Lyn is nor in my catalog nor in EPE, but i found the discovery paper, tanks. _________________

| Ho sorry... You list HD 10180 b as confirmed, but it still unconfirmed in the last paper I saw. Ad you forgot KELT-6 b. NN Ser b and c are instable and Pc=2Pb, like in most of "planetary systems" around CV, some authors thinks there is no planets there. Same for NSVS 14256825. OPH-11 is no longer in my catalog because of the very high mass of the secondary... I choose to not take into account +13Mj objets around brown dwarves. Because it's a fuc**ng binary brown dwarf with a ridiculous mass ratio of 2.5! I dont verified all your HD XXX planets but I think there is a problem with your catalog, may be you have the same planets with different names, because 1022 planets is just too much. Even with my 24 rogue planets i have only 1015! May be you catalog is right but it seems difficult. As some people said on the forum, you may add WISE J1711+3500 B and WISE J1217+1626 B wich masses may be under 13 Mj, and SWIFT J1756.9 b with minimum mass of 7 Mj and maximum mass of 31 Mj. Yes it is a former star, but it's the same for PSR 1719-14 b! _________________

| Did you account for the fact that I include the Solar System planets? I'm still adding the planets you've mentioned and am getting around to some of the others you have mentioned. Thanks for the feedback You're more than welcome to see if you can figure out which planets I unjustly have counted. I would imagine some of the discrepancy might be in the KOI planets. I've taken a few from power point presentations and that's where a lot of the discrepancy between the EPE and I come in. _________________ Caps Lock: Cruise control for 'Cool'!

| I'm counting the solar system too in the 1015 ones. My list of rogue and cluster planets are in this threadI didn't checked KOI and KIC planets either, and yes it may be the source of a part of the error, but in my opinion, it's not enough. I will compare to mine this evening. Your N/X Consellation, 2MASS, MOA, OGLE, BD and GJ seems OK Edit: KELT-6 b's discovery paper have disapeared from the litterature... and it's accounted as controversial in EPE. _________________ | |
