Apparently the reference is to a talk at IAU Symposium #253 "Transiting Planets".

| Wait...
With RV measurements to constrain the mass, and transit measurements to constrain the inclination, how could there have been any uncertainty? How could this star have been mistaken for a planet? _________________ Caps Lock: Cruise control for 'Cool'!

| The original paper did not rule out the blend scenario... - Quote :
- The RV signal is small and its detection significance rather low, which is not surprising given the faintness of Lupus-TR-3.
- Quote :
- With current data, we cannot rule out the unlikely possibility that the nearby faint, red star E is a blended binary responsible for the transit, but this is testable with minimal amounts of planned high resolution imaging.
(In fact, using the systemic console on the RVs for this system gives me a reduced χ 2 of 1.259 by just adjusting the default offset, before putting even a single planet in) | |

| It's back in the "confirmed" list. Comment now reads - Quote :

| So Lupus-Tr-3 is a tight binary? Interesting if so. _________________ Caps Lock: Cruise control for 'Cool'!
