Maybe innermost KOI-314's planet is soon to be validated as "b"...

| Yes but it's confusing. OK the name of the star must change from catalog to catalog, but changing the order of the letters is very confusing. Seriously, I dont give a single flap about this order, but I want to know about which planet we are talking about! _________________ | |

| Designation by increasing distance from parent star is the most suitable method (as for Solar System Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars... would be like Sol b, c, d, e...) but in case of exoplanets I reckon designation should follow discovery timeline order. In Kepler-138's case I would have dubbed the innermost planet to be confirmed as "d" being the latest validated. | |

| EPE has them as b and c. Hmm.
Incidentally the Kepler-413 paper has quite a bit on the effects on the axis of rotation for circumbinary planets. Potentially quite a few odd outcomes there arising from the orbital precession.

| If you mention about KOI 314 system, planets with periods 13.8 and 23 days have radii little different 1.45 earth for 13.8 days and only 1.2 earth for 23 days not 1.6 for both | |

| To be true I don't feel very enthusiastic about the 4 new planets in HZ KOI-518.03 (Kepler-174 d), 1422.04 (Kepler-296 f) 1430.03 (Kepler-298 d) and 1596.02 (Kepler-309 c) 2.19, 1.79, 2.50 and 2.51 Earth radii they are too big and is unlikely to be rock planets, far as we see by the researchers... I want see more Earth-size ones in HZ specially around M dwarfs because this the most common stars in the universe

| Interesting that they are promoting 296f as potentially habitable.
Paper II indicates that this system is a binary and models with the planets (or some combinations thereof) orbiting either star are acceptable. This leads to two possible values for radius and insolation, so what gives?
I guess that the Paper III insolation value is assuming that the planet orbits the primary?
