Interferometry is amazing - the fact that you can even contemplate a direct detection of a planet that close to the host star is incredible.

Well, since a parade of freshly imaged planets is appearing at J.Schneider's EPE, we hope to see also Hot Jupiters amongst upcoming detected candidates. Smile

What exactly is interferometry? I haven't quite grasped the concept yet. All I know so far as that it uses two telescopes, the longer the baseline the better.
