The planet is evaporating heavy metals, not just hydrogen/helium.
Due to the proximity, it is similar in shape of a rounded football.

Try changing the dark part to black.

It says it absorbs 94% of all light.
So the dark side is probably very black.
The hot is probably dark red?

Indeed it's very dark in term of reflected light. But it's hot enough to glow as a blackbody, as bright as an M star of the same size.
