BD-06°1339b - false positive? Empty
PostSubject: BD-06°1339b - false positive?   BD-06°1339b - false positive? Empty15th March 2022, 5:30 am

Didn't find an existing thread for this system, although it's been mentioned a couple of times (including under the name GJ 221).

Simpson et al. "Revisiting BD-06 1339b: A Likely False Positive Caused by Stellar Activity"
https://arxiv.org/abs/2203.06191

They also find a more circular orbit for BD-06 1339c, and a linear trend that might be a long-period planet. The ~400d planet from Tuomi et al. (2014) is mentioned once - not sure if it would potentially be represented by the linear trend though.

The 2.4-day candidate from the arXiv-only Tuomi et al. (2019) paper isn't mentioned at all.
