Planetary spectra Empty
PostSubject: Planetary spectra   Planetary spectra Empty16th September 2009, 2:44 pm

This might be of interest... 3 general classes of planetary spectra, "soil", "ice", "gas". Not all spectra get assigned to what you'd expect... Ganymede ends up in the "soil" class for example, despite the surface being icy.

Differentiating between a Venus-like atmosphere and an ice planet is an interesting problem.
