New Brown Dwarf in close orbit? Empty
PostSubject: New Brown Dwarf in close orbit?   New Brown Dwarf in close orbit? Empty24th June 2008, 7:21 am

According to paper Trigonometric Parallaxes for Two Late-Type Subdwarfs: LSR1425+71 (sdM8.0) and the Binary LSR1610-00 (sd?M6pec), there is a new brown dwarf candidate in close orbit around the sdM6 star LSR 1610-00. Such a substellar object would lay at 0.28 AUs, in eccentric orbit (e=0.44), yielding a mass ranging between (57-82 Jupiter masses). It takes 1.66 years to complete its orbit. cyclops
