Debris disk clues to nearby exoplanets

Part of the KITP Program: The Theory and Observation of Exoplanets (January 25 - May 28, 2010). Includes discussion of the Fomalhaut, HR 8799, HD 69830 and Epsilon Eridani systems, plus a bit about Beta Pictoris.

Among other points, it seems that the case for Epsilon Eridani c is very shaky, and there may be some issues with the Beta Pictoris b and its relation to the disk around the star.

Would you happen to know which 18 stars have both RV planets and disks?

The issues they brought up with Eps Eri c and Beta Pictoris do not sound new.

Thanks for that! I'm surprised at the value of 1 AU for HD 69830's disk. I remember it being debated whether or not the disk was interior or exterior to d's orbit, but I don't remember it being determined that it was exterior.

Also, kind of relieved that the disk at Gliese 581 is beyond the orbit of d, and not between c and d. Hoping for a low-mass planet there.

They mention HD 150706 in that table. Last I heard it's planet wasn't confirmed.
