Equation for secondary transit depth? Empty
PostSubject: Equation for secondary transit depth?   Equation for secondary transit depth? Empty17th April 2010, 1:10 pm

Anyone have an equation handy for the secondary transit depth?
I figure part of it is probably A(Rstar/Rplanet)2 where A is the albedo of the planet, but I'm not sure how to work in the difference in brightness between the two.

A
g= (Fp/F*)/(Rp/a)2.

F
p/F* - depth secondary eclipse

a - semi-major axis of the orbit
