http://exoplanet.eu/star.php?st=Oph+11

But revised mass (Luhman et al. 2007) should be 19 Jupiter masses (a planetary outlier by the way). Rolling Eyes

Nice before-Easter gift Laughing

Looks like the quoted mass for the primary has dropped a zero.

Should be 0.0162 solar masses.

Oops.
I think that we've definitely become a little lenient on the lower-bound for brown dwarfs. Has some major part of planetary formation theory changed, or has the only thing that's been changed a few scientist's opinions?

What do you mean? The error margin allows for Oph J1622-2405 b to be 9 MJ, which places it in the (almost arbitrary) < 13 MJ criteria we've been using for exoplanets.

Criteria for inclusion in the catalog
Quote :
An additional difficulty comes from the uncertainty in the mass value (for instance an object with a mass 19 +/- 3 MJup could have a true mass value < 13 MJup with a 2 sigma statistical deviation (= 12% probability). We thus finally include planets with masses < 20 Jup up to 2 sigma

Maybe HN Peg instead? As well as Ross 458.

Is it just me or is Ross 458 listed in both the confirmed and unconfirmed sections?

Once as Ross 458, once as Ross 458 (AB).

The EPE also has WASP-51 and HAT-P-30 as separate entries, as well. Question

To add to the fun, HAT-P-30b is in the transiting planets list, WASP-51b isn't...
