It' s stupid. What' s the point in doing that??

C32, in the corot week the abstract says an oblated giant planet.

And what about Corot-9, there has been a lot of time since reobservation by corot and observations by Spitzer.

Corot did Much less that I was expect till now,ever if we join Ground observatory that look for planetary Transit like Mearth and SuperWasp did a more impressive work

the only 2 systems till now that I find impressive in the Corot mission is the Corot-7 and Corot-9.Ever so about Corot-9 like Pochimax said,it's been Observed many time ever with Spitzer,and nothing great like exomoons, Rings have been Publish

Yeah, I too feel a bit underwhelmed about the mission.

I guess one reason is that the spacecraft wasn't able to work at full capability for a long time due to the loss of half of the FOV.

There isn't a catalog of all the Corot candidates available, although in the past a few papers discussing candidates detected in the first observation runs were published.

Apparently, from the reports of their internal meetings, they are preparing a "mega-paper" with all the candidates detected + follow-up results. Maybe that, like happened for Kepler, will spur other external detection teams to search for additional missing candidates with their own algorithms.

CoRoT: harvest of the exoplanet program

CoRoT has acquired more than 163,000 light curves and detected about 500 planet candidates. A fraction of them (5%) are confirmed planets whose masses are independently measured. Main highlights of the CoRoT discoveries are: i) the variety of internal structures in close-in giant planets, ii) the characterisation of the first known transiting rocky planet, CoRoT-7 b, iii) multiple constraints on the formation, evolution, role of tides in planetary systems

27 monotransits... maybe interesting long period planets impossible to confirm due to lack of access to ground telescopes...

Different masses given for Corot-7b (5.12 and 6.75 Earth masses), non-zero eccentricity possible. Corot 7-c and 7-d appear to be confirmed.

Sky & Telescope: COROT mission officially ends

Sad to see it go, not a good year for space transits.

Still, the data archive should be a good hunting ground for new discoveries.

Corot-25 and 26 b are published, but no preprint so far!

We report the discovery of two transiting exoplanets, CoRoT-25b and CoRoT-26b, both of low density, one of which is in the Saturn mass-regime. For each star, ground-based complementary observations through optical photometry and radial velocity measurements secured the planetary nature of the transiting body and allowed us to fully characterize them. For CoRoT-25b we found a planetary mass of 0.27 ± 0.04 MJup, a radius of 1.08-0.10+0.3 RJup and hence a mean density of 0.15-0.06+0.15 g cm-3. The planet orbits an F9 main-sequence star in a 4.86-day period, that has a V magnitude of 15.0, solar metallicity, and an age of 4.5-2.0+1.8-Gyr. CoRoT-26b orbits a slightly evolved G5 star of 9.06 ± 1.5-Gyr age in a 4.20-day period that hassolar metallicity and a V magnitude of 15.8. With a mass of 0.52 ± 0.05 MJup, a radius of 1.26-0.07+0.13 RJup, and a mean density of 0.28-0.07+0.09 g cm-3, it belongs to the low-mass hot-Jupiter population. Planetary evolution models allowed us to estimate a core mass of a few tens of Earth mass for the two planets with heavy-element mass fractions of 0.52-0.15+0.08 and 0.26-0.08+0.05, respectively, assuming that a small fraction of the incoming flux is dissipated at the center of the planet. In addition, these models indicate that CoRoT-26b is anomalously large compared with what standard models could account for, indicating that dissipation from stellar heating could cause this size.

I mentioned these planet before now paper but density for 25b 0.15g/cm3 is incredibly low

Merci.Couple jupiter size planets but how big is difference(variety) in density between them ,corot 25b -0.15g/cm3 ,27b-12.6g/cm3.Anyway corot mission is finish and only one small planet 7b found nothing really to cry for

…Huh. That's the first Gamma Doradus variable planet host, isn't it? I think the instability strip is located at A through early F, and given that the star rotates so fast that they couldn't follow it up the star is probably towards the earlier end.

Such a long period, too! The 3-4-day Hot Jupiters really seem to be missing at early spectral types. I wonder why? If they're a function of semimajor axis then they should have shorter periods around more massive stars, but those apparently aren't very common either. Maybe the stellar radius is important too?
