| Extrasolar Planets EncyclopaediaThe website has had an extensive redesign, maybe this has something to do with the lower frequency of updates recently? I'm sure I'll get used to it, I did quite like the old-school nature of the previous design though... | |

| Goodness...
And yeah... I did enjoy the simplicity of the original design. It looks a bit cleaner now on individual planet pages. Multi-planet systems are now shown with planets as rows instead of columns, making the pages a bit better organised, in my opinion. _________________ Caps Lock: Cruise control for 'Cool'!

| The query option has improved a lot.

I agree. Confirmed, unconfirmed and disproven planets all together and no apparent update for recent discoveries too. Plus harassing continuous request to activate Adobe Acrobat, uselessly. So far, no good.

Like I said, the search option is a big improvement: unconfirmed planets: "controversed" IN detection confirmed planets: NOT "controversed" IN detection Haven't figured out how to filter the update field, though. But you can always download the list and use Excel or OpenOffice Calc or whatever. _________________ The universe is not only stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine.

| I'm pretty happy about the signs of VO stuff, having proper machine-readable access to the data will be useful. | |

Now it's much simpler. Confirmed and unconfirmed planetr were separated .

| I don't see much problems, expect that the tables should be more distinct. Now the very thin lines make they somewhat unclear. Otherwise, all the original information is there almost in the original format now with extra functionality. IMHO it is nice to see the service modernized. _________________ The universe is not only stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine.

| I'm sure we'll all get used to it in a few weeks time. If you're like me, the fact that you check it about once an hour will make the transition easier. _________________ Caps Lock: Cruise control for 'Cool'!

| Actually you know what I do like it, and it looks like there are several fixes that have been made since the new design went live.
E.g. the detection type "controversed" is now "controversial", and these do not show up by default.

| I hope the new planets are included soon, the number of planets is getting badly out of date. _________________ The universe is not only stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine.

So what's the actual count? I think it's like 797-800.

By my count, which is independent of the EPE's, and includes the Solar System, 807 Planets in 633 planetary systems, with 114 multi-planet systems. 79 two-planet systems, 22 three-planet systems, 7 four-planet systems, 3 five-planet systems, 1 six-planet system, 1 seven-planet system, and 1 eight-planet system. _________________ Caps Lock: Cruise control for 'Cool'!
