| Some insight into how to form single large satellites around gas giants, similar to Saturn and Titan (the mid-size moons don't count in this case). Fujii & Ogihara "Formation of single-moon systems around gas giants" https://arxiv.org/abs/2003.05052There appears to be a "safe zone" in the disc where migration is directed outwards which would enable satellites of similar mass to Titan to survive. | |
