New study suggests that the Jupiter's satellite Europa Could contain in its ocean an elevated concentration of oxigen, that could allow the presence of complex multicelluler life... I have always thought that we would find fish and marine animals on Europa, whether or not the papers say it could happen. I can't wait to meet them ^_^

Alternatively this could be doom for any Europan biosphere. Oxygen is toxic to anaerobic organisms, it could rip prebiotic molecules to shreds. It'd be a very interesting result if there had been life on Europa, which was extinguished by rising oxygen levels.

Yes indeed, that's what I was thinking. Oxygen is quite reactive. I'm not quite sure how they got this new oxygen estimate anyway, so I sort of left the topic alone.

infact, the study estimates that the oxigen reached the Europa's ocean only 2 billion years later its formation, allows life to rise.
