A second (unconfirmed) planet pops up around HIP 5158:

I ignore why Schneider types "third planet". Rolling Eyes

The HARPS search for southern extrasolar planets. XXIII. 8 planetary companions to low-activity solar-type stars
http://arxiv.org/abs/1008.4600

Abstract wrote:
In this paper, we present our HARPS radial-velocity data for eight low-activity solar-type stars belonging to the HARPS volume-limited sample: HD6718, HD8535, HD28254, HD290327, HD43197, HD44219, HD148156, and HD156411. Keplerian fits to these data reveal the presence of low-mass companions around these targets. With minimum masses ranging from 0.58 to 2.54 MJup, these companions are in the planetary mass domain. The orbital periods of these planets range from slightly less than one to almost seven years. The eight orbits presented in this paper exhibit a wide variety of eccentricities: from 0.08 to above 0.8.

HD 28254 and HD 44219 are reported to have an RV drift.

Eccentricity of HD43197 b,HD44219 b are so high that this rules out possibility existence of any planet(especially earthlike) on stable orbit in HZ of these 2 stars

The HARPS search for southern extra-solar planets. XXIV. Companions to HD 85390, HD 90156 and HD 103197: A Neptune analogue and two intermediate mass planets
http://arxiv.org/abs/1010.0856

Quote :
We report the detection of three new extrasolar planets orbiting the solar type stars HD 85390, HD 90156 and HD 103197 with the HARPS spectrograph mounted on the ESO 3.6-m telescope at La Silla observatory. HD 85390 has a planetary companion with a projected intermediate mass (42.0 Earth masses) on a 788-day orbit (a=1.52 AU) with an eccentricity of 0.41, for which there is no analogue in the solar system. A drift in the data indicates the presence of another companion on a long period orbit, which is however not covered by our measurements. HD 90156 is orbited by a warm Neptune analogue with a minimum mass of 17.98 Earth masses (1.05 Neptune masses), a period of 49.8 days (a=0.25 AU) and an eccentricity of 0.31. HD 103197 has an intermediate mass planet on a circular orbit (P=47.8 d, Msini=31.2 Earth masses). We discuss the formation of planets of intermediate mass (about 30-100 Earth masses) which should be rare inside a few AU according to core accretion formation models.

Eccentric low-mass planets. Interesting HD 103197 b is the only one with circular orbit.

Well it's been nearly a year since the original press release, I'm starting to lose track of which planets have and haven't been published. Taking the list from this post, I get the following list...

Good idea. It's likely there are still three or four paper left to be released. Forveille, Delfosse and maybe two of Segransan, I suppose.

Surely the most tantalizing is that about Gj 433 b and GJ 676 Cb, pals.

Also to point out is HIP 103019, that was initially listed as being part of the Naef et al. paper (along with the planets listed in rows HD 6718b to HD 156411b), but it isn't there. I've flagged this one with ?! as well.

Anyway this is not good sign gliese 581g,f gliese433b ,gliese667Cb going to be unconfirmed or retracted-what is going on -all of them are low mass planets

Usually there is a footnote explaining the reason for retraction. In this case not. Question

I guess it was something presented at the IAU Symposium. These low-mass planets are really pushing the capabilities of the detectors, quite low signal-to-noise ratios. Plus the tendency for low-mass planets to be found in multi-planet systems cannot help.

Moral of the story: finding low-mass planets is difficult.

Daniel wrote:

Their discovery papers are not published. Best I can give is they double-checked something, suddenly became less sure, then later became more sure. We'll know more when their papers come out.

But we might be able to expect the data soon..

Interesting article. Of the 23 red dwarfs "high resolution spectra which span around six years, from 2003 to 2009" there are 11 planetary systems.

with giant planets
Gl832 (2008)
Gl849 (2006)
Gl876 (1998)
HIP12961 (2009)
HIP85647 (2009)

without giant planets
Gl176 (2008)
Gl433 (2009)
Gl436 (2004)
Gl581 (2005)
Gl667C (2009)
Gl674 (2007)

This gives a more higher frequency planets around red dwarf stars, even than this figure.
